Fleas and ticks, both of which have the potential to transmit disease, may be present in the environment of your pet. For the reason that fleas and ticks have the ability to cause illness in humans, it is of the utmost importance that you keep a close look out for these vexatious insects. In spite of the fact that these parasites that live outdoors may be less prevalent at certain times of the year, they often flourish indoors throughout the winter months. The presence of fleas on the skin of cats may cause them to scratch and experience irritation. There is a high probability that fleas are not the source of itching and scratching, particularly during the warmer months of the year. There is a possibility that the fur of the animal has stains that are indicative of digested blood. If you have any reason to believe that your cat may be infected with fleas or ticks, please bring them to Clarence St Vet Clinic as soon as possible so that our veterinarian can do a thorough examination.
