End of Life Care for Cats (Cat Euthanasia)
Back
Our cats' health and quality of life may significantly deteriorate as a consequence of trauma or a fatal illness. Both the pet and the family may find this to be quite difficult. We can guide you through the many options accessible in these situations. It may be difficult and emotionally taxing to decide to put your ailing pet to sleep. At every stage of your journey, Clarence St. Veterinary Clinic is here to help. Throughout the process, we will thoroughly review each of your options and respond to any questions you may have. Since your pet is a part of your family, losing them may be upsetting for all of you. We recognize and value your opinions about this decision.
If your cat wants to be soothed throughout the end-of-life surgery, we encourage you to stay with them. Give them a blanket, food, a favorite toy, or anything else you think may help them feel better. Naturally, it is a very personal decision, and our kind staff will make accommodations for you if you are unable to attend.
